Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. (CRCI) operates the Safe Housing Program called Continuum Care Housing to provide temporary, non-medical housing and referral services to individuals in need within our community.
This program serves three primary purposes:
Program Structure: Three Levels of Care
1. Cold Weather / Warming Shelter (Emergency Access)
- Purpose: Provide immediate, life-preserving shelter during dangerous weather conditions.
- Activation: When temperatures fall below 40°F or severe weather events occur.
- Characteristics: Overnight shelter, minimal intake barriers, focus on safety and stabilization.
2. Temporary Stabilization Housing (Up to 14 Days)
- Purpose: Short-term housing for individuals willing to actively improve their situation.
- Requirement: Minimum of 1 hour daily dedicated to progress (job search, ID recovery, housing applications, etc.).
- Outcome Goal: Transition into employment, recovery programs, or stable housing.
3.Medical Respite Housing (Up to 30 Days)
- Purpose: Short-term recovery housing for homeless individuals discharged from hospitals.
- Referral: Managed through hospital and partner referrals coordinated by program staff.
- Focus: Physical stabilization, follow-up care coordination, and transition planning.
- Outcome Goal: Placement into stable housing or appropriate care environments.
